After reading many of the topics about M1A from Springfield Armory, can anyone tell me if they recently purchased a M1A and if they had any problems? Iam seriously thinking about purchasing a SA M1A , but all this talk about product control has caused great concern. I feel that living Canada will make it far more difficult for me to sent it back for repairs, also if I going to spend that much money on a rifle I don't want something that doesn't work properly. Your input would be a great help. Thanks Kyrol |

I seem to be one of the lucky ones, lol. I purchased a socom a few months back, with no complaints to date. I already have close to 1,000 rounds through the piece with no foul ups, no misfires, and nothing but big grins. The only complaints, are from the sissy range commies about the muzzle blast/defening noise when fired. |
| If you live in Canada, what about a Polytech? they are supposed to have resolved the "soft" bolt problem, and are alot cheaper, quality is supposed to be very good, with many of the parts Bolt, op-rod, barrel, gas system, being as good as USGI. I think some outfit up there called Marstar has them,If I recall correctly, for about $300 or so USD. |
