What is the difference between the standard and rear lug receivers LRB sells? Scott |
|
REAR LUGED RECEIVER has a lug that has a bolt that beds it to the stock. i had a smith built rifle with lugged reciever and the heavy barrel to it was most heavy. the std is just that standard. i have a super match that has the oversize beded stock and heavy barrel no rear lug i can see no diffrence in accuracy.and it is most heavy as well. i have a springfield with GI parts preban synthetic stock beded and accurized no rear lug it is much lighter and most fun to shoot. all three hit what the sight is on so whats better ? this is what i know unless lrb has rebuilt the wheel |

My understanding is that with the dual or rear lugged recievers your rifle will retain it's proper bedding accuracy longer. So if you bed ot properly and don't remove install the stock every time you shoot it the bedding works longer. So far as I know there is no other advantage. |
