I have a few "W" marked Winchester M14 mags and they are tight fitting and it takes a lot of pressure to force them to lock into the rifle. I have another USGI mag that is an easy lock. The Win mags also seem to put a lot of pressure on the bolt as it travels forward. Any ideas as to what the problem is? Thanks for any input....Rick |

Without seeing the mag, and being able to measure it, tough to say. Compare the malfing mag to a known good one. See anything different? Any wear marks on one and not the other? Look closely, as the differences may be slight. Is it possible that the feed lips are slightly bent thus allowing the follower to "drag" on the bolt? |
