Plain ol' 1960 H&R M14 rifle.  It could really do with a nicer stock and a re-park job but shoots well as-is.

SSeric,
It's a SuperSniper in this pic. Since I just sold the SuperSniper, I'm currently getting a Leupy 3.5-10x40LR w/ M3 knobs and that will be on it shortly.

Good choice on the Leupold M3, a very solid scope, and the bullet drop compensating elevation turret is hard to beat for "serious" work..  How did you like the Super Sniper?
Link Posted: 11/12/2004 9:59:18 AM EDT
[#11]
The Super Sniper was good t ogo, it was always repeatable for me and I never had any other problems with it. My biggest gripe would be that the knobs are way to easy to turn compared to Leupold/Nikon/Nightforce, etc.
I agree about the Leupy 3.5-10LR M3. I have several its just that they are on other rigs and I'm just now getting the funds to get another. I use this one a local range where we have steel sillouhettes out to 700yds it sure is fun and not a problem hitting them.

Nothing really that cool, standard springfield m1a, 30 round mag, but the timing on this photo is pretty sweet.

Sorry for the grainy pics. For the camo job, I went to my local hobby store and picked up a dead sponge, then I splattered paint all over it and rolled it along the stock. I think it looks pretty good.
Link Posted: 12/1/2004 1:35:49 AM EDT
[#16]
for picking up a dead sponge and rolling it across the stock yourself, hell yeah it looks good. Kinda makes me laugh at the guys who spend hundreds of dollars sending their stocks off to get professionally camo'ed (no offense to anyone).

I need another rifle like I need an additional hole in my head. But threads like this make me want to once again have an M1A in my safe.

I am jealous.
Being somewhat insane about these things, it will eat at me until I get an LRB.

Now I've heard of Garanditis... but enjoying a romantic evening by the fireplace with your Garand?  Perhaps taking it a bit too far?

Nice rifles!
