When i was at Quiet in the Capital suppressor shoot earlier this month the rep at the PTR tent said there was going to be a price increase. Mine hasn't shipped yet, but glad i locked in the old price. They are now up to $990. https://www.ptr-us.com/product/the-jack-12ga-aow/ |

We get some salad days sales but it’s never cheaper than it was 5 or 10 years ago. |

My Jack made it home this weekend. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but have been wearing out some snap caps. Action and mag tube were very stiff. The plastic snap caps were worse than the metal A-Zoom snap caps. I think they need a little weight jiggling around to keep things moving right. I installed the Defender Tactical mini shell adapter kit so it will handle anything from 1 3/4" to 3".

The shorter action bars are available if you want the smaller Shockwave grip or if you want shorter just cut the Action Slide Tube and install a foregrip mount (see the examples posted about, especially the top model). The Defender lifter for hater tots is $55 (since they still don't sell just the lifter for some reason) or weld an extended tab onto your existing lifter or you can just buy the adapter for $25 or the OPSol adapter for $20. For reference, the original Shockwaves were made using this front cap made by Shockwave Technologies (yep, I've called, they haven't made them in years and don't have any for sale) and the bird's head grip. I was going to convert an old PGO instead of buying a new Shockwave; instead I have another 12ga- the horror.  Attached File |

Wouldn't be surprised to see them settle in the $750 range. |

That's how supply and demand work. Side note, I seem to recall reading somewhere that welding the barrel lug on hardens the barrel steel and that they can't be threaded for choke tubes. Anyone know if that is true? I have a suppressor coming in and would love to have my Jack threaded as well. Edited to add: I reached out to Steve Rose at Rose Action Sports. He confirmed what I had heard. He said he had broken tooling trying to thread a barrel near a weld and won't touch one if there is a weld in the area he needs to thread. So the new Jack barrels with the welded lug cannot be threaded for choke tubes. At least Steve won't try to do it. |
