My ten year old wanted to learn how to shoot. I figured I'd start her out on a BB gun. I dug out my old Daisy 21. My parents bought it when I was ten, so that makes it 45 years old or so. My parents bought it for me at Gibson's department store for less than $20. I have had it ever since. It was rebuilt at the factory once. It is missing some blue and the gold has worn off, but it still shoots great. Anyone else have an old BB gun they got as a kid and still have?  |

Really clean ones bring upwards of $800. Even rough, non-working ones would be worth a couple hundred. |

My dad, as a kid, traded for this. I shot the heck out of it as a kid; finally cleaned decades worth of WD40 out of it. Hard shooting little rifle. Daisy model 25. Around 1927, they moved the pump out another 2 inches or so to make it easier to cock, so it's older than that.  Still goes out on field trips from time to time.  |
