Anyone find it odd that the difference between the integral scope mounts is 1/8 (.125) of an inch but the rings have varying differences? No. 3 ring: .312 No. 4 ring: .435 No. 5 ring: .565 Difference between 3 and 4: .123 Difference between 4 and 5: .130 Guess I will need to do some lapping. |
Some of the other listed measurements I've seen vary from what you have listed, but they still do not = .125” differences. Who knows...probably nominal measurements take by different people …. 
I have installed more than a few sets of Ruger rings, none required any more lapping than any other type (generally I lap just enough to remove any sharp edges or machining marks that would scratch a scope tube) |
