My newly finished project since ATF finally got around to my stamps...
Specs: Mag Tactical Lower Gibbz Side Charging Upper MVB ARC stock CMC Trigger Yankee Hill Todd Jarret edition Handguard Seekins Radial Fluted 8" Barrel (Gas Port drilled to .125") Syrac Clamp On Adjustable Gas Block Lightweight BCG from a local shop Sparc II RDS Can is a Form 1, Titanium Tube and end caps from SDTactical 6" Runs like a top, 1.25MOA with a scope on it at 100yards. Load is: 208A-Max, 8.0grLil'Gun, Wolf SR Primer, Converted and annealed WCC Brass.

The YHM handguard isn't all that light either, really. I ran a similar setup for a while then ditched the rail and went with MOE handguards. Lighter and cooler. |

No it isn't, I wish it was a little more "open" in its design but it was to closest thing to what I really want so it works for this build. It is very comfortable to shoot though. Quoted:
Thinking about a 300 since I have an extra lower. Does the gas port have to be opened up? That's a good looking setup. To run subs- which is all I really care about in this rifle- I opened it up to .125". I could have gone a little less I think but with the adjustable gas block it was easier to just open up the gas port and throttle the gas with it instead. |

I have the exact same barrel, and I might need to open up my port hole depending on what ammo I run. I have the factory Seekins adjutable gas port, but like you I could always choke it down with the gas black.
How did you open the port? drill press, bridgeport, etc? |

Drill press with a nice sharp bit, lots of cutting oil, some very careful setup and very slow feed! I was nervous but all went well. |
