Ok guys please excuse me if these questions are dumb i'll try to keep this brief. I am moving from VA to FL but the move date is contingent on the sale of my house.

For question 3:
Dates firearms shall be away from original location...or dates in transit if to be permanently relocated:

I have no idea what the actual date in transit will be as of right now. I will be traveling back and forth for a while (and could potentially take it on one of those trips) so can I just put say 6/15/2015?

For question 9:
Mode of transportation. Am i ok to transfer it using my own vehicle? If so what info do i write in?

Thanks for the help, again sorry for the ignorance.

I use the term "personal conveyance" because that is what Florida Law uses to describe your car or truck etc.

Martinsburg will approve a Form 5320.20 for up to a year for recurrent travel.  I speculate that if you file a form for the period of one year and indicate that the firearm(s) will not be returned to the original location, (box 2 if I remember correctly) the form will be approved.

A letter with the form might be in order, if you think it would clarify things.  The guys and gals in Martinsburg are great to work with and will go out of there way to help if they understand what you are doing.  One of their jobs is to keep the registry accurate.
