I just got my first SBR approved. I was wondering if I had to print and keep all 4 pages of the form with the rifle, or just the one with the stamp.

I was planning on keeping it all in my MOE pistol grip. I already have my trust document stuffed in there. There is enough room for another sheet of paper.

Thanks.

Just the stamp...and you don't need (nor want) your trust paperwork with the weapon, especially if your Schedule A has much on it:  what it you lost the rifle (or it was stolen) and the details of your trust?

Unnecessary risk.

You don't have to keep any portion of the Form 1 with the gun, but if you want to keep enough with the gun to prove it's legal and registered (not a bad idea), just the first page is fine.  The remaining three pages don't have any information on them anyway.  And agree there's no reason at all to keep your entire trust with the gun.

What if one of the trustees has the gun in their possession with out me present? Do they need proof they are part of the trust?

I didn't include the schedule A with the documents. My lawyer told me I needed to keep the trust with any NFA item I purchased.

I also have a 50+ letter trust name.

i make a reduced size version of the approved form 1 and laminate them.  rolled up it fits nicely in the pistol grip.

How is that any different that you possessing the firearm?  Do you need proof that you are a trustee?

I have never been asked to see any paperwork, ever.

>50 letters?  Where did you manage to engrave all that?

I also laminated a small version of the 1st page with the stamp on it and keep it in my pistol grip. Everything else I have electronic copies of in dropbox on my phone. In the HIGHLY unlikely event that I need to delve in to the trust and all that BS I can dig through it on my phone.

I just sent it off to CS223 for engraving. He said its a billboard, but he will try to get it to fit. I will forget about the trust papers, keep them on my phone and just laminate the stamp paper. What size should I print it? 1/4 page? Smaller? I have really good eyes so it doesn't matter to me how small it is.

I went to Staples and had them print me out a few copies that are small enough to fit in my wallet, then I had them laminate them. I never leave home without my wallet so every time I am out shooting I have my paperwork weather or not I have any of my NFA toys with me.
