if I don't go the trust route...
I have a Colt commando upper that I bought years ago. It's never been on a lower in my possession. I have a Spikes lower, that I'm going to throw together. The Spikes serial number will go on the ATF form. My question is, Do I have to engrave anything on the lower ??? I've been reading and searching, but I haven't found an answer yet. |

if I don't go the trust route... It doesn't matter if you file as individual or as trust/corp. Full name and city, state need to be engraved. Only abbreviations allowed are the commonly accepted 2-character states. |

That's why I love this site , lots or people willing to help.. I put off doing an SBR long enough. lol thanks everyone ! ! Watch out nfa items are very addictive. yeah, it starts as innocent as "oh ill just SBR this lower i already own, thats only $200 + a barrel" then you say "well might as well put a suppressor on that SBR" and before you know it youre selling s**t around the house trying to gather enough funds to buy a M16
Im not sure what the next step in the addiction is, i haven't got that far yet, im just assume it involves large pieces of artillery, tanks and finally a Soviet Union cold war diesel submarine parked off of your own private island...not that ive looked into buying that stuff
Dang if i won the lottery i would go nuts! |

No. Your required markings can go on the barrel if you don't want to mark the receiver. |
