[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about Mini-14s

I am familiar with most versions of the Mini14 but what I'd like to know is this:

Was there ever a factory SBR ever offered? I know the AC-556 was offered with a 13" inch barrel but was a straight semi auto available?

I have a collector friend who asked me this and I said I'd try to find out.
