Hi all,

Wanted to get your thoughts on this model. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Is it worth the $$$ or should I be a thrifty shooter??

I'm a big fan of the offerings by LWRC. They are a good company, and make some pretty damn fine products. I've put a couple of their uppers through quite alot, and have yet to have an issue. If you are looking for one of the shortest AR's you can get, then I'd go with a PSD.

+1 for this

I picked up my PSD just over 2 years ago and instantly fell in love with it.  NEVER had any sort of malfunction or ammo issue.  My PSD will eat up anything.  Once I set the zero; Done.  Dead On - Everytime.  Money well spent.  I have never even once or for even a second, regretted my decision or the money I spent.

I have thrown it in the snow, fired perfectly;
ran it dirty - perfect
ran it filthy - perfect
put it in a -80 degree freezer for 24 hours - flawlessly ran (was a tad cold, but ran like a champ)

of course, this is just my opinion and impression based on my experiences, yours may vary.

Are you guys primarily talking about the 5.56 or the 6.8?

Thanks,
Rob

i was asking about 5.56. 6.8 is too pricey for me to shoot...

while we're on this topic... are the 5.56 and 6.8 uppers interchangeable???

You would just need 6.8 mags for the 6.8 upper.

I have a 5.56 LWRC PSD.  I've had it for a couple years and love it.
