[ARCHIVED THREAD] - check cashing time?

After you mail in your paperwork, about how long before they cash your check?
Just wondering.
I got finger printed and dropped off my Form 1 at the sheriff's office for signatures yesterday. Only a few more steps and then the waiting game!

Usually within a few days of it arriving. They're now converting them to an electronic debit so it may not post in a way that you're used to seeing. Just FYI.

My paper work was received on a Monday.
The following Monday the check was cashed!

So one week
