Are there any manufacturers that make SBR's?  I am not talking about <16" uppers but companies that sell registered SBR's.  I am trying to decide if I want to go with a form 1 or just buy an SBR on a form 4 and avoid the engraving hassle and have a warranty to boot.....................

Some off the top of my head...Colt, LWRC, RRA, Bushmaster, Noveske, KAC is planning a 11.5" E3.

I really didn't want to engrave any of my existing lowers so I purchased a factory SBR from Noveske.  Like beavo451 said there are a number of manufactures that sell factory SBR setups.  Bravo Company USA, Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT) and Daniel Defense are just a few more that offer them.

I believe RRA sells SBR, I think Spikes does as well as well as Rainier Arms.
If I were you tho, I'd just build, at least the upper.  You can come out pretty cheap and use good quality stuff

YHM as well.  Spectre Firearms in Houston had one on their shelf the other day.  I was impressed overall with it.

You don't have to engrave the lower. You can engrave the upper or barrel. As long as it's visible.

ETA: I believe I have replied to the wrong thread.....

What if you buy a complete rifle-say a Bravo Co.- in 14.5" and decide to put a different. 14.5" upper on it(Noveske)?

If its a factory SBR, no engraving is needed at all.

If you register to make your own SBR and wish not to engrave the lower, every short barreled upper (or barrel) must be engraved to be legal on that lower.

I replied to the wrong thread...so my post about optional engraving is of no use here.
