Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have the Armalite 180B integral muzzle brake cut off and the barrel threaded so a period correct or some type flash hider could be installed? Are there any issues with overall length, if so it can be permanently fixed as far as I am concerned, I just hate that knot on the end of the barrel, lol. Is this something that can be done without having to refinish the barrel? If someone can suggest of a good gunsmith I would appreciate it, preferable in the southeast but location would not really be a huge deal. I would guess only the upper would need be sent? Thanks in advance for any information and if this would be better posted in different section of the forum, please let me know.
