[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Marlin 60

The bolt hold open on my Marlin 60SB sometimes fails to work. My plan is to detail strip the trigger assembly to clean it out, as well as replace the BHO spring.

Is there anything else I should look at replacing?

Also how hard is taking apart the trigger assembly? Any tips?

Don't... get a can of brake cleaner and hose out. Then relube it.

There isn't any need to take the group apart.

Upon comparing my release lever to pictures of ones on the internet I realize what the problem is. The lever is bent so it drags on the feed throat block.

Figures. I tried the gun scrubber approach once before, and it only worked marginally.
