ETA..........all else being equal , the ammo would be the biggest PITA . I build CNC machines as a hobby... making custom brass, projectiles etc would not be an issue. Cost of materials is the issue, that why I figure it would take near 10 years to finish. With a fat budget and a good set of prints I could likely have it done in 9 months. The biggest question is should I try to mod a Vulcan barrel or make a set of buttons to make an exact original barrel. I would use a CNC lathe to rough out the chamber to near final size then use a ream to bring in the final headspace. Not working full time ( not by choice ) leaves time for other pursuits, but A2 and other quality steels are not cheap.

Just a drill press, angle grinder, dremel and a set of files. If you have the bolt, trigger pack, magazine and charging handle already, it should be to much of a hassle to stretch the receiver.
