I built mine off a tortort reciever. I had to drill out the hole for the detent that holds the hammer stop in place. Has anyone else had to do this? Has anyone drilled out the hole for the rate reducer? Kinda strange they'll drill the location for it, but didn't drill it to fit the parts. |
| Mine was like that too, but being totally unfamiliar with the design and not having access to legible instructions or a tech manual resulted in me trimming the detent spring so that it would fit. Only late would I realize I should have drilled it out. Now I need a new spring, but I don't want to pay the ridiculous price for one, plus shipping. |
| Well , just won an auction for a parts kit , hopefully everything’s in there. Looks like it’s got a good trigger guard though. Little rust , nothing a little love won’t fix. Plan on getting a tortot receiver. Here we go ! Maybe I can get it painted donkey Kong red / yellow lol |

Fist steps complete , filed a form 1 yesterday and today I used a finish nail to rivet on the trigger guard. Worked perfectly. Also had to fit the grip to the receiver. Such an easy little project. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Help with fitting mags? bought 4 used 20rd 32 mags from Combat Armory. two lock in like normal, easy in and out. 2 dont. they are very hard to insert and i have to hit the bottom to seat and hook the catch. very hard to remove then. ive measured the "good" mags with a caliper and they are the same dimensionally than the bad mags. what could be the issue? the notch for the catch maybe? just look for suggestions for what i can check. Empty mags and no upper on the gun Update I ended up just putting them in the vice and squeezing them a bit front to back. Went slow and they fit better now. Still a bit snug when seated but much better |

Just got done cleaning this thing after about 3k of suppressed bulk pack .22 ammo. My sign to clean it is when it begins to eject brass back into my forehead. It’ll start having stoppages within another 500 rnds after that. A little lube every 1000rnds or so keeps it chugging along. Took me an hour and a half to clean…almost makes me want to clean an MP5 more …Attached File |
