| So I'm really wanting to do a 16 inch TC Encore in 357 Mag so I can run my suppressor on it. The only reason I'm doing a Encore is because the supply of cheap used Handi rifles has dried up. My question is if anyone knows of a way to get into a 357 barrel for less than a arm and a leg? I can find cheap 357 barrels but they're all 10 to 15 inches. I know I could SBR a Encore frame but the Encore is already short because of the action so I was trying to stay at 16 inches. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Do they even make a 357 barrel for an encore?
Encore Pistol barrels are 15 inch so direct thread is out of the question. Do you already have an Encore? I sbr'd my extra Contender frame. I shoot subsonic 38 special out of a 10 inch barrel with a Gemtech multimount. It's cool having several barrels I can shoot as sbr's I also bought a 300 blk barrel to use with my AAC sdn6. $200 was money well spent for the amount of fun i've had. |

Adding an extra inch to the barrel would make no appreciable difference in handling characteristics for a pistol, but would give people the option to set it up as a rifle if they wanted. I've bought a number of barrels off of Gunbroker and eBay. Lots of overpriced stuff, but occasionally you can pick up a deal. I've got a 6" threaded Contender barrel that's great with suppressed .38 or subsonic .357 Mag. I keep thinking I should get one of my 14" barrels threaded. |

I have been looking for a 357 barrel for my Encore SBR project for quite a while. If you have a link to these cheap barrels you are finding I would really appreciate it. I had basically come to the conclusion that I would just have to order a MGM barrel and figured if I was doing that might as well just get it in 9mm. |
