Now that the dust has seemingly settled from the whole Gen1/Gen2 fiasco, is the MPX good to go? Right now I have a Scorpion that I'm really not happy with in a few ways, and I'm thinking of switching it out.
Yes, I know mags are expensive. Yes, I know Gen1/2 mags aren't compatible, and Gen1 guns don't get caliber conversions. Neither of these is a deal-breaker for me. I'm more concerned with recent experiences regarding QC and reliability. |

What are you not liking about the scorpion? It's too short for me to really be comfortable with. Not enough rail for me to get a good hold and put a proper light on. I'm wishing I would have either gotten the MPX up front, or waited for the Evo carbine and put in a Form 1 on one of those. |
| My Gen I has been great. No problems whatsoever. In my opinion, ergonomics are better and MPX is more user-friendly than CZ. Head on over to Sig subforum. You will get a lot of useful information there. There is clear pro-CZ bias on this subforum and not much useful information regarding Sig. |

I don't know if I would call it a bias as much as a significantly lower barrier to entry. I'm a 'buy once, cry once' type of person so I'm not appalled by the Sig, if it's worth it. |

Outrageously priced mags and poor suppression is hardly what I'd call bias. Its gassy, every review of one suppressed confirms that and MPX mag cost is insane for what they are. I see the MPX as a 9mm AR done right, no shoe horning the cartridge to fit the gun. If someone wanted a 9mm AR the MPX would be what I suggested. If the primary goal was short, concealable, reliable, and a manual of arms similar to an MP5 while also great suppressor performance, the CZ should get the nod. That right side safety on the CZ tho... |

That right side safety on the CZ tho... I don't run the MPX suppressed so that's not an issue for me. Mag cost is not particularly insane to me, since I am used to paying for HK and Bulgarian Circle 10 AK mags. In either case, I picked up my mags with a factory discount so I felt like I got a good deal. And, yes, there is definitely a pro-CZ bias on this forum. This is not just in relation to MPX. There is nothing wrong with that. But the OP is not going to find a lot of useful info here, hence my advice to him to head on to the Sig subforum. |

the handle, just drive out a roll pin The charging handle is really the only beef I have with mine. i don't have enough range time with mine to give any guidance, but I can say I love the "Kate Moss" stock ( the factory folder). Don't care for the collapsible stock. |

The carbine might give you more real estate for your needs and the familiarity of the AR platform. |

A local range has a rental MPX pistol with a brace on it, I'll probably start there. |
