For my beretta storm 9mm rifle, in case I wanr to have the barrel cut/pin welded, to keep factory length?
Thanks. |
| I understand what you are asking and I agree with above poster. It seems if you thread the barrel on a CX4 Storm you change the 922r compliance. But pinning a three lug on the gun allows you a way to attach a suppressed and not have a threaded barrel while keeping the profile about the same as the original. I do not like the skinny barrel look, but I prefer it over the skinny barrel with a large bulbous suppressor mount look! I'm going to send Tornado Tech an email and get my Storm on the list. I think they will thread them there without removing the barrel. It kinda has a unique barrel nut. If you have another avenue to thread the barrel please let me know! |

brad, if I three lugged it it would be my only one, so I don't think I'll do that, but thanks. I just started too late to lug my stuff!
ABdriver, I got to thinking when I saw no responses maybe it was a stupid question. Everyone says don't worry about 922r; if the batf raided any of the shotgun competitions they be busy as hell doing paperwork on all the guys that alter their Berettas & Benellis. When I worked for an importer I asked one of the arf guys that was in and out quite a bit if I should worry about putting a pistol grip on my mak90. He said, when you're served with a drug warrant that may just be another charge. As far as Tornado Tech threading without removing the barrel I don't think that's possible. The tool is pretty simple to make if you have some metalworking skills. There was one floating around the berreta forum for a while but someone didn't forward it on like they were supposed to so that killed that. I will have a large order for TT when I hear back from them as far as threading an Msar barrel. I know they will require you to make the cut if you're going to shorten and pin weld a muzzle attachment. I obviously havent moved forward on this although I've been thinking about it for a couple of years. I keep trying to find someone local to do it. Thanks folks. |
