like can you puut an aftermarket ar trigger in an mpx? also, what about the pistol grip.
also, those things are a bit heavy arent they. |

They will take an AR trigger. It does void the warranty so make sure you keep the old one around. Sig said the recoil system batters the fire control group so they put in a "trigger bar" to protect it.
Bill Geissele says his triggers will stand up to it no problem and have a lifetime warranty if they don't. Waiting 3 months for my Stock from SIG so after that comes the trigger is my next upgrade...maybe a Christmas present to me! The MPX really does shoot like a dream. No misfires so far in a few hundred rounds and accurate, like all SIGS tend to be. |

What makes you say that, apparently this fits: Quoted:

From looking at the guard, I suspect it would work on a standard AR style trigger group, but not on the self contained units such as Timney. What makes you say that, apparently this fits: Sorry, when I said "it" I meant the guard. Did the Sig guard work with that trigger? |

Are you seeing some potential interference with the trigger and the trigger guard? |

I'm not sure we're on the same page. Have you disassembled an MPX trigger? It guards the trigger assembly from the hammer on harsh recoil, Sig calls it a "Bridge", but it acts as a guard. I've not tried it with a Geissele trigger (yet), but it at least looks like it would be compatible, which is all my comment pertained to. http://www.stevejenkins.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/mpx-trigger-bridge-black-950x1024.jpg Quoted:

People running self-contained triggers are ditching the trigger bridge. It's useless with light, high-speed hammers, and there is no tail on the hammer to hit the bridge. |

I never even fired my MPX with the stock trigger. I dropped in the self-contained Wilson combat TTU-3G trigger unit with ZERO modifications. Over a 1,000 rds with not even the slightest bit of damage to the trigger. ETA: I am not using the Sig "bridge" with the Wilson trigger unit nor do I think it would fit anyway. Doesn't need it. |
