Made in Manchester CT at Dean Machine (Demro) during the late 1970s and very early 1980s until the factory closed in '82, the DEMRO FX-7 "WASP"

Manufactured simultaneously in both .45 ACP and 9mm, it uses the old grease gun mags when chambered in .45 and Sten mags for 9mm.  The no-tools-needed caliber change takes less than 1 minute, swapping out the 16" barrel and adding/removing the magwell adapter.

PIX!

Shoulder thing that goes up

Open Bolt -- oh, noes~

Receiver and bolt

Receiver, bolt, trigger assembly, STEN magwell adapter (grease gun mags fit without the adapter)

Play it like a violin!

The factory building still stands but has been vacant for decades

Dean Machine lives on. The previous owner retired and sold it in 1984. The new owners grew the business and moved to a different location after that which would explain the building being vacated many years ago.

Read about it here:  Dean Machine

I would guess the original owner had an interest in firearms but the new owners moved on to other things.

That's a different "Dean Machine" - the one in Manchester CT was technically Dean Machine Products Inc, not the Dean Machine Company Inc out of Rhode Island

And no offense but that auction for a broken Demro is 7years old

They sell anywhere between $800 and $1500 (or $3500 for one in Cali)

The link to the one being sold was for the pictures and description. Most anyone who can read would note the date and the fact it needed work.

As for current value, as my dear departed Pappy would say, "Its worth what someone will give you for it".

Some history here:  History

Also, some info from Wikipedia:  More info

Likewise!  Glad I finally got one, it's a very gentle shooter and it's relatively cheap to feed it.
