I want the Ruger PC9 back. How about another Marlin Camp 9? Why cant Remington or another well known make a PCC? I had the kel tec and after taking out twice and BOTH times the front sight fell off after taking a few shots pissed me the fuck off! Are you listening Kel Tec? You make shit yet there is high demand. Just look at gunbroker prices. And people are buying! i like the Storm but fuck paying 900. Anybody got an insight to Shot show 2013? Any new offerings?
Rant over. Carry on. |

Blame the "wonder 9" pistols and the NRA. With concealed carry laws and high cap pistols all over the place now, the market for PCCs is not what is once was. Why buy a PCC when you can own and carry a high capacity pistol? Hence, the demise of the Ruger PC9 and Marlin Camp guns.
Not legal advice, MHO, YMMV, etc. |

No, its very simple, actually.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The cost of building a Marlin Camp or a Ruger PC9 or 40 just priced them out of the market. Even the KelTec Sub2k was a cheapened version of the original Sub9. The Sub9 was a much nicer rifle than the Sub2k, it also cost twice as much to make! So they had to go back to the drawing board and make it cost what people were willing to pay. BTW: I have a real Sub9....not for sale, A real Camp 9, and some other 9mm Carbines like my Storm CX4 (which got expensive...cost more than a 5.56 AR now). Its all about the cost. There are some new affordable PCC's, like the new TNW Aero Carbine which is under $600. Meanwhile I am holding on to my older PCC's. |

My Hi-Points have all been rock solid. One is almost 9 years old. I even have my Just right Carbine in 45ACP running like a top now. HI-Point 995's are under rated by many. They are not a fancy, slick, pretty firearms...but they function reliably and shoot pretty good. They are actually an amazing piece of engineering if you think about it. How can anyone manufacture a $200-$300 firearm that works? They are NOT a AR or a Beretta for sure. They slap you around a bit but they keep on shooting and hitting where you aim. I think no PCC collection should be without one! For a bit over $200 what can you buy in today's gun world? But, the 995 suffers from the same problem as the Kel-Tec Sub2k....you can't find them. Both make a point: If you produce a decent little rifle at a low price and it actually works....you will sell everyone you can make as fast as you can make them. I have always wondered why these two companies don't up their production. |
| If you can find a sterling, I would. I have a CX4, PC9. Suomi, and a Sterling. The Sterling has been great with original mags and I haven't read any bad things about them. My Suomi has had a bad trigger group and although it was replaced, I don't trust it and the trigger group is super complex to work on. Apex has a good deal on Sterling mags. |

I love my CX4, and am really glad I was able to outfit mine with all aluminum rails before Hout's stopped making the bottom rail U thingy.
A second PCC is on my list, but it will probably wait until Beretta decides they need to make the cx4 .45 use the px4 .45 mags. |

Both companies started with limited capital and have been through a few recessions, an AWB and maybe another AWB. Growth has been slow with limited investment. I would bet that they are not borrowing money for major expansion for the simple reason that they don't want to take on a major risk in the economic and political environment of the last 10 years or so. Being independent manufacturers they don't have deep pockets. I commend them on their success and wish them many more years of slow and steady growth. I do know that Hi-Point recently halted production of their 4595TS model so they could manufacture more of the 4095TS models. I have been in the factory that makes the Just right Carbines and you would be amazed a just how small some of these actually shops are. |

You make **** yet there is high demand... We have a SUB9 and a SUB2K with years of use and thousands of rounds through them without a single issue. ![]() (Plus PLR, SU16C, RFB, and pistols.) YMMV, and apparently did. |

Quoted: I would bet Glock would make a great one. Someone needs to call Gaston. The vaporware to end all vaporware, hinted at before every SHOT Show that I can recall in the past decade or more. If it ever comes to be, I assure you I will be among the first in line. |
