A couple months ago I had to sell my CX-4 Storm to fund something else. When I went to buy a new one, I somehow ended up with a older metal Kel Tec Sub-9 S&W59 mag (the metal one), a Calico M-951 sliding stock pre-ban and a CMMG dedicated lower 9mm.... Yet I still haven't bought a Storm!!!! 2 of the guns are at my dealer ready to pickup and I mailed the check for the CMMG-9 today. I can't decide if I am going to wait and get all 3 at once or break down and pickup the Sub-9 and Calico tomorrow.
Going to be a fun Christmas... |
| I had a sub 9 a long time ago when they first came out. They are so much nicer than the Sub 2000s. Just remember they need about 300-400 rounds and lots of lubrication to break in properly. Once broken in, I have never had a failure to shoot properly and no jams. They are finicky with ammo at times, and prefer heavier bullets like 124 grain and higher. |

I have much of the same of what you found, except for the Calico thing. (Just never got into those).
I had one of the new Sub2k Kel-Tecs but sold it when I found a real Sub9 (same model as you found). The Sub9 was a MUCH nicer rifle than the Sub2k, but the price of making it resulted in it pricing itself out of the market. Sold your CX-4 Storm....shame on you! The CMMG Mk9 is a very nice lower....works wonderfully. |

She carries 9mm S&W pistols (same mags) primarily, so it always made a lot of sense as her truck/trunk gun. |
