I have been toying with the idea of a 9mm carbine for a while now.
I want something with a good trigger, and reliable, I am considering using it for my primary home defense gun, mainly due to the reduced noise and blast indoors vs a 5.56 carbine which is what I use now. Any thoughts on the CCU? |

I have three: 38 Super, 10mm Auto, 45 ACP
I'm planning on getting a fourth in 357 Sig They're ugly as sin, but they do work well, IMO. I only tried accuracy testing once with the .38 Super and, er, had mixed results as I hadn't tightened the scope down very well. ^.^; I haven't had one misfeed on me yet, though. |

You can get it on a 1911 lower as well as the Glock; lower capacity but all the stock 1911 controls and safety and as crisp and nice a trigger as a century of design, engineering, and gunsmithing can provide (or that you are willing to pay for). One warning; an extended thumb safety may bump into the CCU tube, preventing it from being full engaged. No problem with the factory safety.
My issues... it makes the most interesting spring 'boing.........' with each shot, and there are gaps in the underside where the frame attaches to the CCU; dirt and crap could possibly get in there. I love my 1911/10mm CCU but its on old model with the fixed stock; I need to update it to one of the newer ones. |
