Toby Coppley,cncgunsparts.com built 7.62mm x 25mm SBR upper.
One range visit to sight in at 50 yds, at 100 yds off hand w/ iron sights and my old eyes/shaky hands, could keep all rounds center of mass on torso size area.
Suppressor is YHM SS Phantom.

How do you like the new stock?

Comparatively speaking, there aren't many at all in here, especially considering they're the most affordable of the lot. I just figured they'd be more predominant. The TS stock is great... Much more comfortable than the original. I love my 995, it's a hoot. I shoot it more than most of my high end guns combined.

Exactly, most people hear the name and see the price tag and stick their nose up. They're great guns, you just have to remove your head out of your ass and pull the trigger on one to see the value in them. I've got over 1,200 rounds through mine and I've had exactly 3 FTF/FTEs and all three times were from the same lot of Russian steel-cased ammo so it had nothing to do with the gun. I have $1,000+ guns that don't have the same track record as this $200 Hi-Point.

I had about 5,000 rounds, with about a dozen FTFs, through my 4095 before I sold it.  While mine worked, it had a few things I didn't like about it.  When I went from the rear sight to the scope base, I found that the factory had cross-threaded a screw in there.  Thankfully, my brother had the tools to re-thread it.  Hi-Point sprayed some sort of finish onto the interior parts, including the feed ramp.  That finish started flaking off, and it would catch hollow-points and cause misfeeds.  A little time with the dremel removed the rest of the finish and restored it to good function.  The trigger was awful, but it's a $200 gun.  When people ask me my opinion of Hi-Points, I tell them mine worked well enough to feel the $200 was well spent, but wished I'd been able to spend more.

Basically, since buying that gun, I'd gotten over my interest in cheap guns and wanted to upgrade.  Bought a Beretta CX4 in .40 S&W and haven't regretted it yet.

How about my CX4 which now has a VLTOR stock :)

Here's my inspiration.

I knew after someone else doing it that I could with a little planning.

I couldn't find out who did it to pick their brain so I strapped on my c.o.jones and cut the stock off.

I filled in the back of the lower assembly with epoxy to make a place to drill out for the stock tube.  It's a milspec 6pos BTW from palmetto.  VLTOR modstock from BCM for $50.

Filling it with epoxy allowed it to harden quickly while making an extremely strong place to mount a stock tube.

After drilling it out with a spade bit I checked the fit and it was tight enough to hold but not too tight that it was impossible to install the tube into.  The threads actually grabbed to the epoxy/polymer and it did sort of thread in so that was good.  I mixed more epoxy and installed it as far as it would go.  I think I drilled between 5/8" and 3/4" into the CX4's lower assembly so the epoxy has plenty of surface to grab to the receiver extension.

I then sprayed the VLTOR stock in tan, applied pine branches over it with earth brown, black, and forest green.  Voila.

After the paint dried in the sun––-about 30mins––-put her together.

Range report soon.  I think it needs a pad on the end––-not a fan of the cheese grater on the end as my other ARs have SOPMOD stocks...but this was 1/4 the price so I decided it's worth it.

Comments welcome!

My SBR PS90. I don't consider it a PCC since the 5.7x28mm was designed for it first then the Five Seven came out after it. Much like the .30 Carbine. The rifle was first then the pistols for it came out.

How a CX4 .45 should come from the factory.  Has a sierra papa trigger and hammer to comply with the obsurdly stupid 922r bullshit.  They do, however, offer a far superior trigger feel than stock.  I cut, trimmed, sanded, and filled the stock.  Then got another top rail and welded the two togather.  Its a handy little gun.  Might sell....or might thread barrel for my osprey45.

Does that Ruger .44 take standard 10/22 Stocks, or is the channel wider?
Link Posted: 12/13/2010 3:58:03 PM EDT

I think the channel is wider plus it is tube fed like a semi auto shot gun so it has more going on underneath the barrel.

Supposedly they're good mags.

I'd take grease gun mags if I had a Mac-10 before I'd take the TAPCO offering.

YMMV

A horrible picture of our his-and-hers Kel-Tec Sub 2000's.  Both are the G17 models, and have Streamlight TLR-1s attached to the forend.  Not pictured are the matching his-and-hers G17's, also with TLR-1s.

They're kinda ugly, and definitely inexpensive, but I'd rather shoot these than anything else in my safe.  Just a neat, fun, reliable little carbine!

I know Tapco is like getting Great value products at Walmart to most people but these mags have worked perfect so far. The Sten mags that this gun takes hold 32 rounds and the Tapco holds 36 rounds which I like and they are cool looking with a nice grip. Basically a p-mag for a mac. I will get more of them.

This is the second, near perfect marlin camp 45 I have aquired this month.  The first is getting an integral suppressor as I type.  THis second rifle is flawless.  Has the factory mag, and still has the factory stickers on it.  Was sitting in the personal safe of a local gun shop owner that I just happend to ask if he had one.  Made an offer, and now its going to sit in my safe while I play with the other.  Sometimes you just gotta ask these guys.

Grandpa just gave me this the other day. It's a Remington 788 chambered in .44 mag. My google power must be weak lately because I can't find the original barrel length. This one appears to be cut down to 16" and fully floated. The stock has some half-ass bubba texture job on the for-end. Someone (not grandpa) ruined a potential collector, but it sure is fun and accurate.

Tell me more about this thing please

Thanks
