My .357, Smith & Wesson 1854, Stealth Hunter is pretty much done. I added a Sig Romeo Gen II, SL RM2 light and a Hill People Gear 10 round stock cuff.. I was thinking I might want a RRP stock but the OEM stock is actually working pretty good with the red dot sight. I don't feel like I need a cheek riser so I am pretty happy with it. It's ready for truck gun and home defense duty. Still need to look into suppressors that work well with both .357 and 9mm. I'm really enjoying the .357 in a lever gun format more than I expected.

| I have the Vortex on my Taylor & Company (Chiappa) 1892 Alaskan Take Down in .357/38. I’m new to the site, and this thread got me to sign up so I can get some input on my own build. As soon as I can figure out how to upload pictures, I’ll show the groups I got with mine. The eye relief is great on the Vortex, because with the top eject you need the scope forward of the action and with my eyes, I really benefit from the variable zoom. Mine has the illuminated reticle, which allows me to use it like a red dot at 1.5, with both eyes open. Easy to zero, and you can’t beat the price for the quality. |

I've been on the gear/competition/tacticool doo dad kick for a while now but it's getting old. Honestly this combo of rifle and a 357 snub like the 360/340, between ammo, you'd be pretty well equipped for anything shy of a ground invasion or elephant hunting. Snake shot, 38/357hst in the pistol and rifle when you're in people country, hardcast when you're not. Snake shot in the revolver on the off chance you're kayaking in the everglades. Honestly if I was starting my collection from scratch, from a pure practicality situation, this is hard to beat |
