Attached File Attached File Attached File 1894 Trapper in .357 Mag Replaced factory rear peep with Skinner peep rail. Cut down Skinner rail to receiver length. Mounted PA micro dot with a LaRue LT661 QD. Added KVP ASR muzzle device for suppressor QD. Magpul MS1 sling with GrovTec Mil-Force swivels. Removed factory recoil pad and replaced with a buttplate I made from a textured G10 knife handle scale. May do a safety button delete at some point. |

I've got a fixed power Leupold 2.5x20 on an AR, it's fantastic but I haven't really shot that rifle past 50 yards. Ashley Emerson makes a slick, lowpro mount that should work very well with it. Alternatively you could consider a fixed power 4x (both of which seem to be discontinued by Leupold) or one of their 1.5-4/5 options. If I can't find another 2.5x at a reasonable price it's going on my .44 levergun and I'll figure out something for that AR. |

I second the above recommendation for the Burris Scout 2-7x32mm. Would work great for your purposes. I have one of these on my Marlin Dark 336 in post #1. Works great paired with the LaRue Tactical Ultra-Low Rings (LT719).

Build list: S&W 1854 stealth hunter in .357 Midwest Industries stock, grip panels, and quivers VZ grips MLOK rail covers BCM KAG Surefire 620V Energetic Armament Sonus 9 (I love this can, btw. I'm a fan of wiped cans anyway and this one is in my opinion a perfect choice for a lever action in the proper caliber). I'm using the titanium direct thread adapter as well. Holosun 507 Comp on a Warne ultra low mount. I removed the front and rear factory sights to clean up the sight picture. This is a critter gitter and fun gun for me so I'm not worried about battery life or optic failure and needing back-ups. I've got about 200 rounds through it so far, and no issues. |

Ain't real tactical yet, but it's a threaded 9mm 1873 action. Looking into muzzle devices and trying to figure out a can that won't obstruct the buckhorn sights.
