| I have one in great shape, probably made in 2005 or close to the end production. Mint condition, traditional version. Gunbroker ranges from 350 to 1500, are these really worth over a grand? |
| My first gun it was a 9422 in 22lr I think it was$180 new and it is my absolute favorite gun since then I bought several 2422 and 9417 I don’t think I ever paid more than $350 for one but it today’s market I have seen them sell for around $1000 and up going rate seems to be $850-900 around in this area so yeah I do believe you could find some one that will buy it for $1000. I just have to ask one question why would you want to sell it and once you do you will probably regret it later. I know for me my 9422s would be the last to go if I had to sell my guns. |
| I bought a near perfect used 9422 in 22 Magnum way back in 1985, never shot it much and foolishly sold it to finance a new hunting rifle that I needed. There have been MANY times since that I wished I had kept that sweet little lever-action. To this day I am looking for a decent price on another Winchester 9422 or Marlin 39 Gloden in 22 LR. They allways seem to be asking $100 more than I am willing to pay, I have other 22's that fill the need. But there is tha nagging want for a good American made 22 lever.... |

I picked up a late production 9422M a few weeks ago that was almost perfect for $550. The late production ones generally run a bit cheaper than the first year production, which bring the highest prices. With the economy the way it is and unemployment up, I'd say it's a buyers market. I'm not a collector so I wouldn't pay more than $500-$550 for a nice shooter. If you're patient you can pick one up for less, IMO. |

I paid $325 for mine in pristine, mint condition about 8 years ago. Serial number indicates 1995 manufacture. I could easily get $600 plus for it now. The XTR versions are worth even more from what I have seen lately. I would panhandle on a freeway exit before I would sell my 9422. |

WOW! I'm glad I shelled out the $399 I paid for my new in box 9422M with a beautifully figured walnut stock a few years ago. Its had less than fifty rounds fired out of it since I bought it. Its ding and scratch free, cleaned, and lubed in a gun sock in my safe. Still have the box and manuals too. I plan on giving it to a (hopefully) future grandson someday. |
