By a stroke of fate/misfortune, I ended up with a pair of 1895 High Grade .405 Winchesters.  One of them has tremendous sentimental value and will never be sold, but the other is new in box and has never even been out of the wrapper.  I stumbled across one of the Theodore Roosevelt 1895s at Gander Mountain the other day, and I'm kind of kicking around getting rid of my "spare" and picking up a brother for my other one

Any ideas on what something like that would be going for?

I see a new TR at Cabela's in the link above for $1700.  That sounds to me like a good value.

There's a regular High Grade chambered for .30-06 for $1700, and a .405 High Grade near the bottom of the list for $2600.
