Lurked here a while haven't posted much. Finally got moved to new house with space to expand my gun area. I have a climate controlled partially room attached to garage with locked door which I plan to reinforce later.

I decided on a BF6032 in textured black and should be here next week. I thinks its a good safe for my collection as it stands, mostly smaller NFA items and one MG. Im going to talk to local safe guy next week for delivery and I'm interested in changing out lock to digital entry for convenience. What do I need to know about my options for digital keypads and what should I avoid?  Thanks.

I like the BF6032 - I am sure someone will be along to talk about the lock options.

Bolt it down.

Thanks. I hoping to get a little info form some knowledgeable types here on the digital options because I need to talk with the safe guy tomorrow about getting it installed before delivery.

Send him (the Safe Guy) an IM, I am sure he over looked it, you could also post it in the big AMSEC thread.

I have IM'd him before he is always very helpful.

It's a longshot but I have a Cannon safe with the digital lock and I would be willing to swap if mine will work in yours and vice versa. It's the biggest safe that Tractor Supply sells, off memory I think it is a SecuRam

Thanks but I'm looking for new replacement lock and I want to know which is the best/most reliable and if I need to tell the lock guy any specific model.

I have an Amsec BF6032HD, left hand swing with the digital lock option. Fantastic safe. Whatever the stock Amsec digital lock is would work fine for you I'm sure.

Amsec makes their own line of digital locks.
This is what I went with, so if something happens I don't get the run around from the safe maker and the lock maker.

My local safe guy said he prefers S&G and securam. I have a securam on my cheaper Titan snapsafe and it hasn't given any trouble but I see mixed reviews on them. He states he actually would suggest I not go with Amsec digital lock. I may just stick with dial for now so I can weigh my options. Digital is just so quick.

I have a 6032BF and went with the dial lock. Didn't want to deal with the uncertainty of digital at all. Any scenario where getting to the safe in the basement past two doors is that critical, I already done goofed, and the extra speed of access a digital lock would get me wouldn't make a difference.

Yeah I'm just thinking for ease to access for cleaning and range trips. All my real personal defense weapons are in quick access safe(s) in my bedroom.
