Can someone give me some info about this safe?  I see that it has a UL 1 hour fire rating, but I don't see anything about burglary protection.  Would it be a good alternative to a bank safe deposit box?

That safe is not burglary resistant. A burglary resistant safe will be rated as either a B or C, or have a UL Rated plaque stating a TL rating.

Your safe is rated as UL 350 1 hour. This means that the inside of the safe will not exceed 350 degrees for 1 hour, while exposed to 1700 degrees outside. If I recall correctly the point where paper starts to char is around 425 degrees.

This would be a good safe to protect papers against fire (not electronics, such as CDs, DVDs, HDDs, Zip drives, etc (those require a UL-125 safe)). This safe will not be as secure against burglary.

This, except I would change the ending to "not that secure at all against burglary".

If you are only storing paperwork, I would suggest looking into a fireproof file cabinet.  Although your paperwork may have no value, anytime a burglar sees a safe, they will automatically assume there are valuables inside.

Okay, that's what I figured.  Thank you.
