I am looking to maximize the space in my safe, and I tried RR's.   I wasn't crazy about them, so I sent them back.

Now, a few more guns have been added, and I need more space.  A second safe is possible in the next year, but until...

I have used some thin wall electrical conduct over the exterior of the barrel to "extend" some shorter guns that don't reach the muzzle cut-outs.  It fits right over the end of the flash hiders and seems to be very stable.

My thought is to take this concept, add end caps to the conduct, and mount a magnet to the cap.   Then, add a thin sheet of steel to the bottom shelf - basically using magnets instead of velcro.  (Magnet idea from here)

This probably won't work on guns with sights installed right behind the crown, but I don't have any of those to worry about right now.

Am I off base?   Suggestions?  Comments?
