My friend has the Vue Zone cameras in his home. Some of them have the motion sensors that send alerts to his phone. The sensors start recording when they pick up activity. He can view his home in several different angles anytime he wishes. The set with 4 cameras including one with inferred is about $375. The monitoring or off site cloud storage for the video is only about $50 a year.
I liked it because its wireless, cameras can easily be moved and are so small they are not noticeable. It works off the wireless router included with the camera package. He loves it. He goes on vacation and can monitor his home right from his phone. No alarm monitoring commitments or other obligations. Anyone else have experience with these? I am thinking about going this route. I have hard wired cameras at work with a hard drive storage. It works good but I do pay a lot for monitoring. If someone stole my hard drive, I would be out of the video. This seems like an inexpensive alternative to the current system I am used to. |
