Defender 21112 Sentinel 8CH Smart Security DVR with 4 Hi-Res Outdoor Security Cameras

Works great and good deal I think for the price. What my question is how to install this without people noticing it?

I have a 2 story, relatively new house with ceramic tiles. So far I can only think to install it in the attic looking out vents. This does create less than ideal camera coverage, but covert is more important for me. The vents also cause issues with focus, in that it makes the image appear a little blurry.

What kind of tricks have you done to hide your home security cameras?

I'd display them proudly on the eves. What's the logic behind concealing them. 99.9% of people won't notice them and the rest will steer clear of your house.

You have to get them line of sight for them to be worth it.  Any sort of concealment will also hinder IR if you choose to use it.

You could do something like put them in a birdhouse, on a tree, etc but you still have to deal with "issues".  Example - tree's are good but as leaves grow (or fall in winter) then your camera will be obscured or exposed.

I have my bullet cameras on the side and back of my house where I don't care who sees them.  I have domes with dark glass on the front of my house.  Part of getting wife approval was that it not look like crap.  Domes are a good compromise since they are mounted vertical on the brick and you don't really see them

Yeah, just having a little trouble getting wife approval lol. She doesn't want it to be visible. Still trying to talk her into it.

Explain to the wife unit that simply having them up and clearly visable is added deterant in and of itself.

My wife was more concerned with the inside of the house, ie running the wires along the wall, etc.
