Stack-On QAS-1304 Low Profile Quick Access Safe with Electronic Lock

My initial challenges to find one for my car.
-Needs to fit under the seat.
-Needs to secure in some way to the car, via cable or bolting
-Needs to open from the front
-Needs to unlock from the front
-If electronic, it needs a key backup
-If battery powered, it should last for at least 6 months on battery power.
-DOJ approved

The above safe fulfills all of my requirements and has an added bonus. You can feel the numbers dots on the keypads. Which is nice if I want to open without being able to see it.

If it is under your seat, opening upwards is useless. I saw some nice bioscan ones, but requires your hand to touch the top, which I can't because of my seat.

Curious as to what and how everyone else is using to locking up their handguns in their vehicles.

I had one in my car until last monday..some asshat broke into our building and hit 12 cars, he got my car, smashed passenger window f*#ked up the interior and only stole my car safe and a $3.00 flashlight, that piece of human excrement left everything else...

The cable was frayed and looks like the guy had no trouble  breaking it...at least it was empty ...I dont know if Ill buy the same one again but honestly it will only make it  slightly harder for thieves,

The cables supplied with the portable safes can be cut Easily Very Very Easily with Side Cutters , Kleins ( lineman pliers) and a few other things that fit into pant pockets . Should have replaced the cable with a chain . I have replaced on cables with chains on our vehicle safes if they want it they need to carry bolt cutters , its a little harder to fit them in pant pockets

I have since replaced this chain with a much better one. But you get the idea
