Just wanted to show my new security gun drawer? i guess i would call it. I mainly made it to prevent the kids (have 5) from getting to my guns. I had about 250 to spend and the wife didnt want some ugly Stack On security cabinet in the walk in closet so I made a replacement for our queen box spring. it has 2 twin box springs i think it is and i measured my side and made a box "spring" out of nice 3/4 oak plywood. The Drawer is 3 foot 9 then near the headboard on the side theres a 1 foot long opening for ammo etc...
For the Drawer I also used 3/4 plywood and covered it in Suede then integrated a power strip inside the box and added LED strip lighting, as you can see, sorry for the poor cell phone pics. I added a lock to the drawer. With the bedding on the bed and the frilly box spring cover thing you dont even know its there. I figure if I got a Stack On cabinet a thief would be able to see it and assume something good is in it but atleast this is concealed. Oh and I plan to get some kind of dehumidifier soon, and foam for the drawer
