I have the opportunity to buy an old Meilink safe. I don't know much about the company and very little about the safe in question. Pics are below, anyone know anything about this particular safe? Thanks

Looks 50's to 60's vintage.  It's a commercial document safe.  1 hour fire rating.

Most of the asbestos that I have seen on this vintage of safe are fire gaskets on the doors, which I don't believe this safe has.  After WWII a handful of companies built light weight fire safes using asbestos materials, and those are pretty easy to spot.  They all tended to use military surplus paint, and were lighter than you would expect.

Asbestos can be, and has been found in safes going back a fairly long time.  It isn't as common as you would think, and it is only "dangerous" if disturbed.
