Just got out of tractor supply. Was looking at 2 safes. First was a cannon 24 gun and the other was a Winchester 24 gun about the same price. Is there any difference in uality between the 2 makes?

I remember looking at both before I went with a different one. The Winchester seemed like it would hold more than the Cannon, it also had external hinges which makes a difference when loading crap in it.

If I HAD to pick between the 2, it would be the Winchester. It has the external hinges, and the interior looks like its a little more polished...

+1 on the external hinges.  Not only do you get more room when opening, but being able to take the door or doors off when moving it is a huge help!  I have heard that the door can account for 30% of the total weight of the safe.  When I bought my Champion taking the door off turned it from about a 5 man job into one that me and my two teenage sons could handle.  I would say the door was 200 lbs by itself.  Still not a walk in the park, but with that door on I would have needed a much bigger dolly...probably a rental, and I am sure it would have taken a couple of guys on the dolly to keep it upright.
