I've been doing the research on adding a locker for ammo and accessory storage.  I already have a good size safe but with the value of magazines, ammo, parts, etc. going through the roof, not to mention availability, I thought it best to secure that stuff better.  In doing the research, most cabinets are made for studs that are 16 inches on center.  Many of the newer homes (like mine) have studs that are 24 inches on center.

Does anyone know of a cabinet that is made for the larger stud openings?  I figure if I have the space, why not use it, right? I realize I could just block it to fit but I would rather spend a little more for the extra space.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you looking for something that mounts between the studs? something like a hidden safe in the wall?

I think OP is trying to find one of the double door lockers, so that he can mount them up against the wall, and drill into the studs for added security.

Something like this

Thanks for the replies so far guys.  I should have been a little more clear.  Stack-On makes a cabinet that is recessed between the studs and is flush against the wall.  There are other companies that make something similar but are all designed for 16 inch studs.  I even went so far as to send Stack-On an email with my question several days ago - no response yet.

The idea is to have a recessed cabinet that utilizes all 22 1/2 inches of space between the studs and still is flush with the wall when installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks
