I am looking to do a burglar alarm followed shortly by some cameras. Is it best to keep them separate systems?

I am looking at a vista 20p to start. Is there a better option in ought to be looking at? Going to be doing 4 doors(prewired) and about 15 windows (wireless). Also a garage door, and perhaps some glass break sensors.

The Vista 20 is a great panel, i have installed a metric fuck ton of them. And yes DVR's and security sytems are usually seperate

Many of my windows are double units. I read there's a few ways to do them. First of all, what do you guys think of the ion micra sensors vs conventional? If conventional, physically how do you install/wire two or three windows to one sensor?

Honeywell has a number of reccessed wireless contacts, as far as wiring two to three windows to one wireless contact after sheet rock is up its a big friking mess

I am myself going to do a DIY system  and have decided on the Vista 20p. Does anybody have any recomendations on online sellers?  I have been looking at HomeSecurityStore  they have 10% off now. Has anybody dealt with them ?

I'm now leaning towards a ge nx-8 after talkin to a security guy. He really prefers ge but didn't have a whole lot of evidence or contrast other than wisdom and experience.

Eta: I am also looking into the elk m1 gold. Seems like overkill but very scalable.

I use the HAI Omnipro II because I was interested in the home automation aspect of it in addition to the security.  It's worked well for me.
