for designing a residential security camera system?  Our home has all kinds of weird angles, landscaping that are making it difficult to determine where cameras should go, how many and the distance that they should be able to see.

Never used any program, and to be honest never even heard of one. Every camera install i do is designed by walking the property looking at the areas of concern, physical barriers, etc
