Fort. Knox 6637 with 3/8 solid plate steel door upgrage, 1/4 plate body upgrade and 3/16 full liner upgrade, Full light kit and door organizer. It will be here the end of November. I will post a full review with pics once it is here.
I was going to order a Sturdy but wanted to support my local shop who has spent a lot of time education me on safes. Buy once cry once. |
| You won't be sorry. Fort Knox is a good company and builds a good safe. My Fort Knox saved my guns in a house fire two years ago which was good in itself. Fort Knox replaced the safe with a new one at no cost other than shipping which was awesome. I'm a happy customer!! |

What model did you get ?
I have found real Fort Knox dealers to be wonderful to work with (most of them, anyway). You will be glad you got the safe you got every time you open the door and the light greets you. Give a lot of thought to exactly where you want it placed 'cause that thing's gonna be heavy. Congratulations! |
| I actually got the Defender with the upgrades and side bolts because my wife likes the Rim rock finish better than the High Gloss finishes. I wanted gloss black with the red interior and she said I don’t want to see finger prints all the time. So I gave in and spent the money on the 3/16 liner. I have been told that the safe will be very close to 1 ton. |
| Well my dealer called today and made me an offer I can’t refuse. It seems someone ordered the safe I wanted 7241 with all upgrades. He said I could have it for $650 more than the one I ordered. They put down $2000 and have not called him back in 4 months, so it is mine. Details are 7241 1/2 outer with 3/8 inner door all steel plate, 1/2 outer body with 1/2 inch inner liner (Steel Plate). Lights, outside hinges door rack and light kit. Now I cant wait. This should serve me very well and I would think it would be close to a real safe vs. a RSC. Will be here Saturday. Now I just have to home my house does not sink due to the weight of the safe. LOL So he will be selling the 6637 I ordered, when it comes in. if any one in South Florida wants a good safe at a fair price I bet he will hook you up. |

Fort Knox makes a nice looking safe.
I became a dealer years ago when I had a few local customers that had to have a Fort Knox safe. Both of them wanted the Yeagers with some custom options. I believe they were over $10,000 each, and both of them wanted the safes painted metallic brown. It wouldn't have been my first color choice, but the safes were very nice. Fort Knox spends a lot of time and money making sure all of the little details are correct. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. |

What's the fire rating on that beast? I wonder what happened to the original customers to ditch their $2k?? Where will the safe be located? I'm hoping on concrete and no stailrs involved for the install? Pics will be required! |

South Florida and concrete and no stairs. Fire rating is 1680 for 90 mins. And i have no idea what happend to him. If I put $2000 down and I for some reason could not afford the safe I would have called. I bet he would have refuned most of there money. It's South Florida, our population has the market cornered on doing dumb things both on and off the road. You got a good deal. |
