I need to get a safe and have been looking at what is available locally since freight to Montana is ridiculous. I can get either the Fatboy Jr. or the Medalist M41 for $1199 right now. They are very similar in size and capacity, both 12ga steel. The Medalist has a better fire rating with a 1325* 60min, and the Fatboy Jr. having a 1200* 45min.
does anybody have experience with either safe, or both? I would love to upgrade to the Fatboy but can't swing the $2200 price tag right now. Which would be better to go with, any advice would be greatly appreciated. The Medalist has 4-way bolts over the Jr's 3 way. Does that make much of a difference in strength? |
