I am finally making the move out of the city a little bit, looking at a house on a 1ac lot about 20miles out of town.  There are other houses around on similar lots from 1-3ac.  I am interested in setting up wireless motion flood lights, but have no experience with them.  From what I have been reading it looks like LED is the way to go. Thinking about 3-4 lights, one at front door, back door, and over the garage.  Are they complete junk?  Any lights to recommend?

I just installed 4 wireless LED lights around my house.  Fulcrum makes them - they're about $30 a piece.  I wouldn't call them junk - they pick up movement about 20-25 feet out, and seem to be built pretty solid - they've survived all this freakin rain so far.  I'd like them to be a little brighter, but I guess you can't expect much more out of a light running on 4 C batteries.

I've had This one installed for well over a year and it's still going strong.

That was my thinking, that solar would be the best.  I am just wondering if I am going to get enough light out of them.
