[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Single pole motion sensing switch

I purchased a single pole motion sensing switch to turn on the lights when the safe is opened.
I am having a problem wiring it.
It has 2 black wires & 1 green ground wire.
I am using an extension cord to go from the outlet to the switch then to the lights.
I keep blowing my home circuit breaker.
Any help on wiring would be appreciated.

You really didn't say how you wired it, obviously something is wrong if you keep blowing the breaker. The green should be the common or ground and then it should be in on one of the black wires and out on one of the black wires. If that makes sense.
