My question is my options since i am renting.. I can't bolt it to the floor.    and the closet seems to be tight..

So three options is to get a lightweight locker or a small safe for about 5-8 rifles or more insurance.

Is there any other option besides those three ??  And any advice to pass on to a new guy.

*** I am renting is a relatively safe area.. a lot of middle class people.. next to the country club kind of thing..   I know it doesn't make a difference where sometimes.. But if someone is taking a safe out, it would be seen since my apartment faces the pool, where all the kids are..

Bolt it to the wall (into the studs) and fill the holes when you leave.

If you can't afford to get a good safe (sturdysafe.com), buy a cheapo homak or stack-on, or middle-of-the-road cannon or sentry.

Don't just leave them in the closet or under the bed.

The Ridgid job boxes seem to be serving a few people well. Probably better than some of the safes that cost 4x as much.

As said above. Bolt it to the studs and patch the holes when you move.
