Guys,
I am the new owner of a Champion RSC that doesn't have an electrical outlet.  Is it possible for me to install one before it is set in place?   Sure I can drill a hole in it, but how do I do that without compromising the fire rating of the unit ?

thanks!

Most of the safes I've seen have a hole in either the back or one of the sides and very close to the bottom.  Unless you have it sitting on carpet I'm sure you'd be fine...like in the garage you have concrete and sheetrock.  Maybe its time you invent wireless power :)

Its already gonna have a hole in it. The space in your door gap is going to be more of an issue than the electrical access hole.

I usually take a 3-outlet extension cord, cut the plug off, feed it through the hole from the inside of the safe to the outside, then install another plug on the cut end and plug it into the wall.  This gives me 3 outlets in the safe (goldenrod, lights, ???).
